V : LOG - Version 3
New Features
--------------
Release 2/1/92
Version 3.0
--------------
* Limit increased from 300 to 500 scenes per file.
* New "Record Mode" field: mark each scene with the tracks
which were recorded - Video, Audio 1, Audio 2. Can mark any
combination of these.
* All files from earlier versions are fully compatible with version 3.
* "Print Queue": specify a group of V:Log files which are then printed
one after another. The original file is automatically reloaded when
done.
* Create a comma-delimited 'Mail Merge' file from any V:Log file.
This type file used to export V:Log scenes to a database.
* Create a "V:Log Report": using the flexible Search Parameters,
create a text file stating vital information about groups of
V:Log files.
* New Search Parameter: "Ask". Allows you to have a Yes/No/Cancel
prompt before each file is Searched (or added to V:Log Report).
* New Search Parameter: Find search text only if it is a whole word.
* If the 500 scene limit is reached during a Search operation, you
can now save the scenes which were found then continue.
* Now Sort entire list or block of scenes by In point, Out point,
duration or scene description.
* New to Editor Find: match or ignore case of string to find in Editor;
find only by whole words or string can be embedded in other words.
* New 'Auto Tag' mode automatically pulls in the previous time
code number when adding scenes. (Can also be done manually by
pushing <F2>.)
* See at a glance whether the current file has been modified.
* For easier operation, you can now go immediately from the Editor
to any of the Main Menus using an ALT key combination.
